The Energetic Architect

There is always more happening than what we can see.

People communicate.

Places communicate.

Businesses communicate.

Properties communicate.

Sometimes what appears to be a practical problem is carrying information from somewhere else entirely.

I have spent much of my life noticing those patterns – what is moving, what isn’t, what is being communicated, what may have been overlooked, and where possibility exists that others may not yet see.

That is the lens of The Energetic Architect.

It is not about looking for something mystical beneath the surface.

It is about learning to see the whole field.

I Have Been Reading the Field All Along

Long before I called myself The Energetic Architect, I was paying attention to energy.

I just didn’t have language for it yet.

And long before real estate became my profession, it was already part of my world.

My father was a well-known real estate broker in Ireland. I grew up around land, property, people and the conversations that happen when one chapter of a life is ending and another is beginning.

I didn’t know then what I was absorbing. I only knew that real estate was part of the landscape of my life.

Years later, my own career would take me through finance, business, and eventually into real estate – from Dublin to London, New York, Ibiza and beyond.  Looking back, I can see that the thread began much earlier.

I learned to read markets, negotiate transactions, understand people, and recognise possibility.

But alongside the practical and commercial, I was noticing something else.

The atmosphere in a room.

The energy between people.

Why one property moved and another didn’t.

Why certain opportunities seemed to arrive at precisely the right moment.

Why sometimes the numbers made sense, yet something still didn’t.

And why the right shift in perspective could change everything.

What I once thought was instinct, I now understand as information.

The Dots Began To Connect

Leaving New York changed the vantage point.

In Ibiza, away from the pace and identity I had known for so long, I began to understand more consciously what I had been sensing instinctively for years.

The worlds I had thought were separate weren’t separate at all.

Business. Property. People. Place. Identity. Intuition. Energy.

They were different expressions of the same underlying intelligence.

The years that followed took me deeper into the human side of change — listening, questioning, observing patterns, and understanding what happens when something no longer fits and something new is trying to emerge.

Eventually, I began to see my own story differently too.

I hadn’t moved from real estate into something else.

I hadn’t abandoned one career to create another.

I had been gathering perspectives.

Each city.
Each property.
Each transaction.
Each relationship.
Each ending.
Each beginning.

Another dot.

And when enough of those dots connected, the larger picture became visible.

The Energetic Architect wasn’t something I became.

It was language for the way I had been seeing all along.

The Work Today

People • Places • Perspectives • Possibilities.

About Mary

I’m Mary McDonald, The Energetic Architect.

For more than three decades, my work has moved across finance, international real estate, business and private advisory — from Dublin to London, New York, Ibiza and beyond.

But real estate has been part of my world for much longer.  I grew up around it, watching my father build a business grounded in relationships, trust and an instinctive understanding of people and place.

Today, those experiences come together through one lens.

I work with people, places, perspectives, and possibilities, looking beyond what is immediately visible to understand the wider field around a situation.

Sometimes that field is a property and the land it sits on.

Sometimes it is a business, a decision, a transition or a person standing at the edge of something new.

The starting point may be different.

The way I see remains the same.

I pay attention to what is moving, what isn’t, what is being communicated, what may have been overlooked — and where possibility exists that others may not yet see.

Energy, to me, is information.

And when we learn to read that information differently, something that appeared stuck can begin to move.

Why the Cosmic Dots?

Life rarely moves in a straight line. I look for the patterns, read the wider field, and connect the dots that reveal what may not yet be visible.

Energy is the new currency.
